Dewatering for foundations and building sites in Qatar

Al Makki removes groundwater and standing water from foundations, excavations and building sites in Doha and across Qatar, 24 hours a day. Our Super Combi suction truck lifts the water, with the mud and silt in it, out of the pit and takes it away in its tank, so your crew can get back to work.

Arrival time: 3 to 4 hours within Doha

Signs you need this

  • Groundwater seeps into the pit faster than your crew can get it out.

  • Concrete, waterproofing or an inspection is on hold because of water.

  • Rain or a burst pipe has flooded a trench, basement or lift pit on site.

  • Standing water on site roads is stopping trucks and crews getting in.

How we help

Who it's for

  • Contractors and building sites
  • Compounds

Water in an excavation stops a job. In parts of Qatar groundwater sits close to the surface and seeps into a pit as it is dug, and rain, a burst pipe or a leaking line can flood a trench or a basement overnight. Concrete, waterproofing and inspections all wait until the water is gone, and so does the rest of your programme.

We work around your schedule. We come once to clear a flooded pit, or come back as often as the job needs while the foundations and below-ground work go in. The same truck also clears standing water from roads, compound streets and yards, and after heavy rain it is part of our rain emergency service.

What's included

  • Sucking groundwater and standing water out of foundation pits, trenches and excavations

  • Lifting the mud, silt and sand that settles at the bottom, not just the clear water on top

  • Emptying flooded basements, lift pits and other below-ground areas on building sites

  • Removing standing water from roads, compound streets, yards and site access roads

  • Repeat visits on agreed days while the foundations and below-ground work go in

  • Clearing the mud the water leaves on roads and compound streets, through our street and compound cleaning service

How a visit works

  1. You call or WhatsApp us with the site location, what is flooded and, if you can, a photo.

  2. We send the Super Combi. We arrive in 3 to 4 hours within Doha; for sites elsewhere in Qatar, we give you a time when you call.

  3. We agree with your site team where the truck can stand safely, on firm ground and back from the edge of the excavation.

  4. We lower the suction hose into the water and lift it, with the mud at the bottom, into the truck's tank. If the job needs more than one load, we tell you how we will plan it.

  5. When the area is clear, we agree with you whether and when to come back, so the water doesn't hold up the next stage.

What to prepare

  • Clear a route for a large, heavy truck: firm ground, room to turn, and no low cables or barriers in the way.

  • Tell us where the truck can stand and how far that is from the water.

  • Tell us in advance about any site induction, permit or safety briefing our crew needs.

  • Have someone from the site there to let us in and show us the water.

  • If you need repeat visits, share your programme so we can plan them around concrete pours and inspections.

Equipment we use

Super Combi

A combination truck that jets and vacuums in one visit: high-pressure water clears the blocked line, then powerful suction lifts the water and sludge into the truck's tank.

What does it cost?

What affects the price

  • How much water there is to remove, and whether it keeps coming back
  • How many loads it takes to clear the site
  • How easy it is for the truck to reach the water
  • Whether it is a single visit or repeat visits during the job

The price depends on the job. Call or WhatsApp us with what you need and where, and we'll give you a quote.

Send us these on WhatsApp and we can understand the job and quote you sooner.

  • Your location pin, or the area and street
  • A photo or short video of the problem: the water, the manhole or the tank
  • What is happening, and since when
  • Roughly how much water, or the size of the tank, if you know it
  • Where the truck can park, and anything that limits access, such as gates, low roofs or narrow lanes
  • A good time to come, and a number we can call

Common questions

Can you make repeat visits during a job?

Yes. We can come once, on agreed days, or whenever you call. Share your programme and we plan the visits around your concrete pours, waterproofing and inspections.

Can the truck get onto our site?

It depends on the site. The Super Combi is a large, heavy truck, so it needs a firm route in and a safe place to stand near the water. Send us the location and a photo, and we'll tell you before we come.

Do you remove the mud as well?

Yes. The suction hose lifts the water together with the silt, sand and mud in it, so we clear the bottom of the pit, not just the water on top.

Do you take the water away?

Yes. Everything we suck out goes into the truck's tank and leaves the site with us. We don't pump it onto the road or the next plot.

Do you work at night and on Fridays?

Yes. We work 24/7, including Fridays and nights, so we can clear the water before your crew arrives in the morning or after rain overnight.
