Grease trap cleaning in Doha and across Qatar
Al Makki empties and cleans grease traps for compounds and buildings in Doha and across Qatar, 24 hours a day. Our Super Combi suction truck lifts out the fat, oil, food scraps and dirty water that collect in the trap, so the kitchen drains run freely and the trap can do its job again.
Arrival time: 3 to 4 hours within Doha

Signs you need this
A sour, rotten smell hangs around the kitchen, the trap cover or nearby manholes.
Kitchen sinks drain slowly, or water backs up into them.
Fat is building up at the trap cover or floating in the next manhole.
Greasy water seeps out around the trap cover or onto the floor.
How we help
Who it's for
- Compounds
A grease trap, or grease interceptor, sits between a kitchen's sinks and the drain. Inside it the waste water slows down, fat floats to the top and food scraps sink, so cleaner water flows on. When the trap is full, fat passes into the pipes and sets hard on the walls until the line blocks. The rotting fat and food also cause the sour smell people notice around kitchens and manholes.
The fix is to empty the trap before it gets that full. We can come once, or on a regular schedule through an annual maintenance contract. If grease has already reached the pipes, the same truck clears them with drain jetting during the same visit.
What's included
Emptying grease traps and interceptors in compound and building kitchens by suction
Removing the floating fat, the settled food scraps and the dirty water, so the whole trap is empty
Washing down the inside of the trap, its baffles and its inlet and outlet
Jetting the pipe from the trap to the next manhole when grease has built up in it
Checking the cover and baffles, and telling you if anything looks damaged or missing
Regular cleaning on a schedule for compounds and buildings with several kitchens
How a visit works
You call or WhatsApp us with your location, how many grease traps there are and what is happening: a smell, slow sinks or water backing up.
We agree a time with you. We work 24/7, so we can come early in the morning or at night, outside busy cooking hours.
The crew lifts the cover and sucks out the fat layer, the water and the solids from the bottom.
We wash down the inside of the trap and, if the outlet pipe is blocked with grease, jet it clear and suck out whatever comes loose.
We refit the cover, clean up around the trap and tell you how full it was, so you can plan the next clean.
What to prepare
Tell us where every grease trap is and make sure we can lift the covers: move bins, crates or equipment off them.
Tell us where the truck can park and how far that is from the traps, especially if they are inside a kitchen.
Stop running water into the kitchen drains while we work on the trap.
Let the kitchen staff know we are coming, and keep people away from the open trap while we work.

Equipment we use
Super Combi
A combination truck that jets and vacuums in one visit: high-pressure water clears the blocked line, then powerful suction lifts the water and sludge into the truck's tank.

- How many grease traps there are and how big they are
- How full they are and when they were last emptied
- How easy it is to reach the traps from where the truck can park
- Whether the pipes after the trap also need jetting
- Whether it is a one-off clean or regular cleaning under a contract
The price depends on the job. Call or WhatsApp us with what you need and where, and we'll give you a quote.

Common questions
How often should a grease trap be cleaned?
It depends on the size of the trap and how much cooking goes on. A busy kitchen fills a trap much faster than a small one. After the first clean we can tell you how full yours was and suggest a schedule.
Why does a full grease trap smell?
Because the fat and food scraps in it start to rot. The longer the trap goes without emptying, the stronger the smell gets, and it can rise through sinks and floor drains. Emptying and washing out the trap removes the source.
Can a full grease trap block the drains?
Yes. Once the trap is full, fat passes into the pipes, cools and sets hard on the walls until the pipe blocks. If that has already happened, we jet the line clear during the same visit.
Do you take the grease away?
Yes. Everything we suck out of the trap goes into the truck's tank and leaves with us. Nothing is left on site.
What if the trap is already overflowing?
Call us straight away. Stop using the sinks on that line and keep people off the wet floor. We work 24/7, including Fridays and nights. We arrive in 3 to 4 hours within Doha.
